Dofflemeyer Lighthouse

Dofflemeyer is a lighthouse located at the southern end of the Puget Sound here in Washington State. To locals I have discovered many have not heard of it.

Location: Dofflemeyer Lighthouse is located NE of Olympia in an area called Boston Harbor. From downtown Olympia take East Bay Drive which turns in Boston Harbor Road. Follow Boston Harbor Road to the four way stop. Turn left and the marina is on the right handside. Due to the fact its located on private property one can only view it from a distance. It can be best seen from the marina or by boat.

Marrowstone Island Lighthouse

Marrowstone Island is located on the northeastern tip of Marrowstone Island which is part of Fort Flagler State Park. The lighthouse like many lighthouses are on private property. Suggestion from us if you want to get close to it approach it from the beach its a very short walk.

Location:: Marrowstone Island can be reached via the town of Port Hadlock. Down the road from Port Haddock you will cross Indian Island (US Naval Reserve) before crossing onto Marrowstone Island. Once on Marrowstone you will need to drive to the northend of the island to Fort Flagler. Watch out for deer in the park. We encountered a number of them!
